On Saturday, April 14th, the Mantra Lounge brings its unique
flavor and style of music, movement consciousness and chant to
Yoga Soup. In an evening awash with exotic visuals and hues of
softly shifting light, the immersive Mantra Lounge experience
begins with an hour long journey of community kirtan chant lead
by critically acclaimed performer and recording artist Suzanne
Sterling. As an ecstatic vocalist and songwriter of devotional
music Suzanne’s style has been praised as a "groove-loving and
seductive journey into spirit”.
The kirtan experience then seamlessly expands into the grooves
of the renowned Bay Area world music DJ, Dragonfly who, over
the following two hours, takes the community on a magic carpet
ride of dance made distinct by three separate waves of rising and
descending tempos. The mix of music spans the globe, leaving no
continent unturned as luscious groove-propelled elements of
electronica embrace the organic roots of world music and
indigenous voices.
